1431	ஜோன் ஒஃப் ஆர்க் (1412-1431) பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டு வீராங்கனை. விவசாயப் பெண். அந்நியரை ஓர்லியன்சை விட்டு விரட்ட தன்னைக் கடவுள் படைத்திருப்பதக நம்பினார். இவரால் ஊக்கம் பெற்ற பிரெஞ்சு வீரர்கள் அந்நியரை வெற்றி கொண்டனர். ஆயினும் எதிரிகளிடம் சிக்கிய இவர் உயிரோடு தீமூட்டிக் கொல்லப்பட்டார். இந்நாளில் ஜோன் ஒஃப் ஆர்க் மீதான முன் விசாரணைகள் ஆங்கிலேயர்களைப் பெரும்பான்மையாகக் கொண்ட நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆரம்பமானது.
1768	பிலிப் ஆஸ்ட்லி என்பவர் முதன் முதலாக நவீன சர்க்கஸ் காட்சியை லண்டனில் நடத்தினார்.
