1100	இங்கிலாந்து மன்னனாக முதலாம் ஹென்றி முடி சூடினான்.
1884	விடுதலைச் சிலைக்கான அடிக்கல் நியூயோர்க் துறைமுகத்தில் பெட்லோ தீவில் நாட்டப்பட்டது.
1914	ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்காவும் பனாமாவும் கூட்டாக பனாமாக் கால்வாய் ஒப்பந்தத்தைல் கைச்சாத்திட்டன.
1949	எக்குவாடோரில் நிகழ்ந்த நிலநடுக்கத்தில் 6000 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். 50 நகரங்கள் அழிந்தன.
1962	17 மாதத் தேடுதலின் பின்னர் நெல்சன் மண்டேலா கைது செய்யப்பட்டார். இவர் 1990 வரை விடுவிக்கப்படவில்லை.

1930	நீல் ஆம்ஸ்ட்ராங் (பிறப்பு - ஆகஸ்ட் 05, 1930), சந்திரனில் தரையிறங்கிய முதல் மனிதராவார். ஜூலை 20, 1969 இல் அமெரிக்காவின் அப்போலோ - 11 விண்கலத்தில் எட்வின் ஆல்ட்ரின், மைக்கேல் கொலின்ஸ் ஆகியோருடன் பயணித்த ஆம்ஸ்ட்ராங் முதலில் சந்திரனில் காலடி வைத்த மனிதரானார். இவரைத் தொடர்ந்து ஆல்ட்ரினும் சந்திரனில் தரையிறங்கினார்.
