Workshop on The Temple and the Performing Art Traditions followed by Kuchipudi Nrithyam by Ms.Abinaya Nagajyothi       04 November,  17:00 - 20:00 hrs, School of Social Sciences, 1 auditorium, JNU, New Delhi  Students studying ancient history at JNU are organizing a  workshop on The Temple and the Performing Art Traditions on 4th Novemeber 2011 as part of a course on Religion and Society in South India. The workshop aims at bringing to the fore the significance of the temple as the site for the performing art traditions, through the institutionalization of music, dance and recitation performances as temple ritual.   Kutchipudi will be performed by Ms.Abinaya Nagahyothi as a part of this workshop.
