வரலாற்றில் இன்று ( Today in History)

1568 - ஸ்கொட்லாந்தில் லொக் லெவென் அரண்மனையில் சிறை வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த முதலாம் மேரி அங்கிருந்து தப்பி வெளியேறினாள். 1808 - மாட்ரிட் மக்கள் பிரெஞ்சு ஆக்கிரமிப்பாளருக்கெதிராக கிளர்ச்சியில் ஈடுபட்டனர். 1814 - முதலாவது மெதடிஸ்த ஆயர் தோமஸ் கோக் தமது மதத்தைப் பரப்புதற்காக கப்பலில் இங்கிலாந்தில் இருந்து இலங்கை வரும் வழியில் காலமானார். 1876 - பல்கேரியாவில் ஏப்ரல் கிளர்ச்சி ஆரம்பித்தது. 1885 - புல்ஜிய மன்னர் இரண்டாம் லெயொபோல்ட் கொங்கோ சுதந்திர நாட்டை அமைத்தான். 1889 - எதியோப்பியாவின் அரசன் இரண்டாம் மெனெலிக் என்பவன் இத்தாலியுடன் செய்துகொண்ட அமைதி உடன்படிக்கையின் படி எரித்திரியாவின் முழுப் பகுதியும் இத்தாலிக்குத் தரப்பட்டது. 1928 - அமெரிக்காவின் பிரபல கேலிச்சித்திர ஓவியரான வோல்ட் டிஸ்னி பிரபல கேலிச்சித்திரக் கதாபாத்திரமான மிக்கி எலியின் படத்தினை வரைந்தார். 1933 - ஹிட்லர் தொழிற்சங்கங்களை தடை செய்தார். 1945 - இரண்டாம் உலகப் போர்: பேர்லினைத் தாம் கைப்பற்றியதாக சோவியத் ஒன்றியம் அறிவித்தது. ஜெர்மனியப் படைகள் இத்தாலியில் சரணடைந்தனர். 1952 - உலகின் முதலாவது ஜெட் விமானம், டி ஹாவிலண்ட் கொமெட் 1, முதற்தடவையாக லண்டனுக்கும் ஜொகான்னஸ்பேர்க் நகருக்கும் இடையில் பறந்தது. 1964 - வியட்நாம் போர்: சாய்கோன் நகரில் அமெரிக்கக் கப்பல் ஒன்று குண்டுவெடிப்பில் மூழ்கியது. 1964 - 8,027 மீட்டர் உயர ஷிஷபங்குமா மலையின் உச்சியை சீனாவின் இரு மலையேறிகள் எட்டினர். 1982 - போக்லாந்து போர்: பிரித்தானியாவின் எச்.எம்.எஸ் கொன்கரர் என்ற நீர்மூழ்கிக் கப்பல் ஆர்ஜெண்டீனாவின் போர்க்கப்பலைத் தாக்கி மூழ்கடித்தது. பிறப்புக்கள் 1921 - சத்யஜித் ராய், இந்தியத் திரைப்பட இயக்குநர் (இ. 1992) 1969 - பிறயன் லாறா, மேற்கிந்தியத் தீவுகள் அணியின் துடுப்பாளர் 1975 - டேவிட் பெக்காம், இங்கிலாந்து கால்பந்து ஆட்டக்காரர் இறப்புகள் 1519 - லியனார்டோ டா வின்சி, இத்தாலிய ஓவியர் (பி. 1452) 2009 - கே. பாலாஜி, தமிழ்த் திரைப்பட நடிகர், தயாரிப்பாளர் சிறப்பு நாள் போலந்து - கொடி நாள் ஈரான் - ஆசிரியர் நாள் இந்தோனீசியா - தேசிய கல்வி நாள்
