1639			ஜெரிமையா ஹொரொக்ஸ் என்பவர் முதன் முதலாக வெள்ளிக் கோள் சூரியனுக்கும் பூமிக்கும் இடையில் செல்வதை அவதானித்தார்.
1642			ஏபல் டாஸ்மான் வான் டீமனின் நிலம் என்ற தீவைக் கண்டுபிடித்தார். இது பின்னர் தாஸ்மானியா எனப் பெயர் பெற்றது.
1859			சார்ல்ஸ் டார்வின் உயிரங்களின் தோற்றம் நூலை வெளியிட்டார். இதன் பிரதிகள் அனைத்தும் முதல் நாளிலேயே முழுவதுமாக விற்பனையாகின.
1914			முசோலினி இத்தாலிய சோசலிசக் கட்சியில் இருந்து விலக்கப்பட்டார்.
1926			பாண்டிச்சேரியில் உள்ள ஸ்ரீ அரவிந்தர் ஆசிரமத்தின் பொறுப்பை அன்னையிடம் ஒப்படைத்து விட்டு அரவிந்தர் இளைப்பாறினார்.
1969			சந்திரனுக்குச் சென்ற அப்பல்லோ 12 விண்கலம் 3 விண்வெளி வீரர்களுடன் பசிபிக் கடலில் பாதுகாப்பாக இறங்கியது.
