1248			காஸ்டிலின் மூன்றாம் பேர்டினண்ட் மன்னனின் படையினர் செவில் நகரைக் கைப்பற்றினர்.
1890			நெதர்லாந்து மன்னன் மூன்றாம் வில்லியம் ஆண் வாரிசு இல்லாமல் இறந்தான். அவனது மகள் இளவரசி வில்ஹெல்மினா அரசியாவதற்கு ஏதுவாக சிறப்புச் சட்டம் இயற்றப்பட்டது.
1936			முதலாவது லைஃப் இதழ் வெளியிடப்பட்டது.
1955			கொக்கோஸ் தீவுகள் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்திடம் இருந்து ஆஸ்திரேலியாவுக்கு கைமாறியது.
1971			மக்கள் சீனக் குடியரசின் பிரதிநிதிகள் முதற்தடவையாக ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் அவையில் சீனாவுக்காகப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்தினர்.
1998			கம்போடியத் தலைவர் ஹுன் சென்னுக்கும் இளவரசர் நொரொடோம் ரனாரிட்டுக்கும் இடையில் உடன்பாடு எட்டப்பட்டது.
2003			வாரக்கணக்கில் இடம்பெற்ற ஆர்ப்பாட்டங்களை அடுத்து ஜோர்ஜிய அதிபர் எடுவார்ட் ஷெவர்நாட்செ பதவி விலகினார்.
2007			அரியலூர் மாவட்டம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது
பிறப்புக்கள்
1921			சுரதா, கவிஞர் (இ. 2006) சுரதா தமிழகக் கவிஞரும் எழுத்தாளரும் ஆவார். புரட்சிக் கவிஞர் பாரதிதாசனிடம் கொண்ட பற்றுதலால் பாரதிதாசனின் இயற்பெயராகிய சுப்புரத்தினம் என்பதின் அடிப்படையில் தன் பெயரை சுப்புரத்தினதாசன் என்று மாற்றிக்கொண்டார். தன் மாற்றுப்பெயரின் சுருக்கமாக சுரதா என்னும் பெயரில் பல மரபுக்கவிதைத் தொகுப்புகள் தந்தவர். செய்யுள் மரபு மாறாமல் எழுதிவந்த இவர் உவமைகள் தருவதில் தனிப்புகழ் ஈட்டியவர். இதனால் இவரை உவமைக் கவிஞர் என்று சிறப்பித்துக் கூறுவர்.
