1789	பிரெஞ்சுப் புரட்சி: பாரிஸ் மக்கள் பாஸ்டில் சிறையைத் தகர்த்து சிறைக் கைதிகளை விடுவித்து இராணுவத் தளபாடங்களைக் கைப்பற்றினர்.
1865	எட்வர்ட் வைம்ப்பர் தனது உதவியாட்களுடன் ஆல்ப்ஸ் மலைத்தொடரின் மாட்டர்ஹோர்ன் மலையின் உச்சியை முதற்தடவையாக எட்டினார். இவர்கள் திரும்பி வருகையில் இவருடன் வந்த 4 பேர் உயிரிழந்தனர்.
1933	ஜெர்மனியில் நாசிக் கட்சி தவிர்த்து அனைத்து அரசியற் கட்சிகளும் தடை செய்யப்பட்டன.
