1839	ஜாம்ஷெட்ஜி டாடா இந்தியாவின் நவீன தொழில்துறையின் முன்னோடி (இ. 1904) ஜாம்செட்ஜி நுசர்வாஞ்சி டாட்டா இந்தியாவின் நவீன தொழில்துறையின் முன்னோடிகளுள் ஒருவராவார். இவர் இந்திய தொழில்துறையின் தந்தை என்று அறியப்படுகிறார். இவர் பாரிஸ் நகரத்திலேயே நீண்ட காலம் வசித்தார். இவர் இந்தியாவின் குஜராத் மாநிலத்திலுள்ள நவசாரி என்னுமிடத்தில் பிறந்தார். எஃகு உற்பத்திக்குப் பெயர்பெற்ற ஜாம்ஷெட்பூர் நகரத்திற்கு இவருடைய நினைவாகவே பெயர்சூட்டப்பட்டது.
