உலக எய்ட்ஸ் நாள் ஆண்டுதோறும் டிசம்பர் முதல் நாள் கடைப்பிடிக்கப்படுகிறது. ஆண்டுதோறும் ஒரு கருப்பொருளின் அடிப்படையில் நிகழ்வுகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுவது வழக்கம். இந்நாள் எய்ட்ஸ் நோய் மற்றும் அதன் விளைவுகள் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டது. எய்ட்ஸ் நாள் பற்றிய எண்ணக்கரு முதலாவதாக 1988 இல் நடைப்பெற்ற, எய்ட்ஸ் பற்றிய உலக சுகாதார அமைச்சர் மாநாட்டில் உருவானது. அதன் பிறகு அரசுகளும் தன்னார்வத் தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களும் இந்நாளை உலகம் முழுவதும் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தி வருகின்றன.
