விஸ்வநாதன் ஆனந்த் (பிறப்பு: டிசெம்பர் 11, 1969, சென்னை, இந்தியா), இந்திய சதுரங்க (செஸ்) கிராண்ட் மாஸ்டர் மற்றும் தற்போதய உலக சதுரங்க வெற்றிவீரரும் ஆவார்.  FIDE ELO மதிப்பீட்டின் படி ஜூலை 2006ல் ஆனந்த் 2779 புள்ளிகள் பெற்றார். ஆனந்த் மாத்திரமே 2800 புள்ளிகளைத் தாண்டிய நால்வரில் ஒருவர். இவர் 1994 இலிருந்து முன்னணி வகிக்கும் மூவரில் ஒருவராக விளங்குகின்றார். சதுரங்க பதக்கங்கள் 2003 - அதிவேக சதுரங்க வெற்றிவீரர் 2000 - சதுரங்க வெற்றிவீரர் 1987 - உலக இளநிலை சதுரங்க வெற்றிவீரர், கிராஸ்மாஸ்டர் 1985 - இந்திய தேசிய வெற்றிவீரர் - 16 வயதில் 1984 - தேசிய மாஸ்டர் - 15 வயதில் 1983 - தேசிய இளைநிலை சதுரங்க வெற்றிவீரர், 14 வயதில் விருதுகள் 1997, 1998, 2003 மற்றும் 2004 - சதுரங்க ஆஸ்கார் 2000 - பத்மபூஷண் 1998- பிரித்தானிய் சதுரங்க கூட்டமைப்பின் Book of the year விருது. 1991-1992 - ராஜீவ் காந்தி கேள் ரத்னா விருது 1987- தேசியக் குடிமகனுக்கான பத்மசிறீ விருது 1985 - தேசிய விளையாட்டு வல்லுனருக்கான சதுரங்க விருது				விக்கிப்பீடியா (http://www.wikipedia.org/) உலகளாவிய தன்னார்வலர்களால் விடுதலை மனப்பாங்குடன் ஒருங்கிணைந்து உருவாக்கப்படும் ஒர் இணைய பன்மொழிக் கலைக்களஞ்சியத் திட்டமாகும். விக்கி விரைவு என்பதைக் குறிக்கும் ஹவாய் மொழிச் சொல். விக்கி என்று சொல்லும் encyclopedia என்ற சொல்லில் வரும் பீடியா என்ற சொல்லும் சேர்த்து விக்கிப்பீடியா என்ற சொல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. விரைவாக இணையத்தில் தொகுக்க கூடிய மென்பொருள் தொழில்நுட்பத்தை இப்பொழுது விக்கி குறிக்கின்றது. பீடியா என்பது 'அறிவுக் கோர்ப்புக் காப்பகம்' எனப் பொருள் தரவல்லது. விக்கிப்பீடியா என்பது விரைவாக தொகுக்க கூடிய அறிவு அல்லது கலைக் களஞ்சியம் என்று பொருள்படுகின்றது.   தமிழ் விக்கிப்பீடியா முயற்சியானது 2003 ஆம் ஆண்டு ஆரம்பமானது தற்போது இதில் 19,393 கட்டுரைகள் உள்ளன. 11,753 பயனர் கணக்குகள் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.

2003 - தமிழ் விக்கிப்பீடியா ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. 2007 - இந்திய சதுரங்க வீரர் விஸ்வநாதன் ஆனந்த் மெக்சிகோவில் இடம்பெற்ற உலக சதுரங்கப் போட்டிகளில் வெற்றி பெற்று புதிய உலகச் சாம்பியன் ஆனார். 1993 - இந்தியாவின் மத்தியப் பிரதேசத்தின் லட்டூர் மற்றும் ஒஸ்மனாபாத் நகரங்களில் இடம்பெற்ற நிலநடுக்கத்தில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கானோர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். 2001 - இந்தியக் காங்கிரசின் மூத்த தலைவர்களில் ஒருவரும் முன்னாள் மத்திய அமைச்சருமான மாதவராவ் சிந்தியா விமான விபத்தில் கொல்லப்பட்டார். 1967 - இலங்கை வானொலி, இலங்கை ஒலிபரப்புக் கூட்டுத்தாபனம் எனப் பெயர் மாற்றப்பட்டது.
