Meaning

உண்மையை ஆராய்ந்து  உறுதியாக உணர்பவர்கள் மீண்டும் பிறப்பு உண்டு எனக் கருத மாட்டார்கள்.

Let it not be thought that there is another birth for him whose mind having thoroughly considered (all it has been taught) has known the True Being.

11-August-1999 - The last total solar eclipse of the millenium was seen in northern parts of India and France. This eclipse lasted for 2 min and 23 sec.

1935 - Establishment 'Mumabi Marathi Sahitya Sangh'.

1947 - Indian Constitution Assembly accepted the tricolour flag as its National Flag. This flag is with three equal horizontal stripes of Saffron (Sacrifice), White (Truth) and Green (Prosperity) and a Chakra is superimposed on white (Dharma Chakra on the capitol of Ashoka's Pillar at Sarnath) in blue colour having 24 spokes. The ratio of the width to length is two to three.

1975 - Hindi Post Guards was established by Government.

1984 - Terrorists breach Bhakra canal in Punjab.

1994 - The Supreme Court declares that SC/ST will lose status on migration to other states.

Meaning

உண்மையைக் கண்டறிந்து தெளிவடையாதவர்கள், தமது ஐம்புலன்களையும் அடக்கி வெற்றி கண்டிருந்தாலும்  கூட அதனால் அவர்களுக்கு  எந்த பயனும் இல்லை.

Even those who have all the knowledge which can be attained by the five senses, will derive no benefit from it, if they are without a knowledge of the true nature of things.

மயக்கம் தெளிந்து மாசற்ற உண்மையை உணர்ந்தால் அறியாமை அகன்று நலம் தோன்றும்.

A clear, undimmed vision of things will deliver its possessors from the darkness of future births, and confer the felicity (of heaven).

Meaning

எதிலும் பற்றில்லாதவராக யார் இருக்கிறாரோ அவரிடம் மட்டும் பற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். துறவறத்தினர் தம் பற்றுகளை விட்டொழிப்பதற்கு அத்தகையோரிடம் கொள்ளும் பற்றுதான் துணை நிற்கும்.

Desire the desire of Him who is without desire; in order to renounce desire, desire that desire.

1954: French rule ends in Mahe. De facto power was transferred to the people and the Indian flag hoisted.

1969:  Air Chief Marshal Pratap Chandra Lal, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, DFC. became the Air Officer Commanding, India Command. He was in this office till 15/01/1973.

1981: India performs nuclear Test.

1991: Railway budget hikes passenger fares by 15-20% and freight up by 10\%.

1993: Russia cancels cryogenic rocket deal with India.

1996: The four basin states of Narmada valley - Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra - reach agreement to raise the height of Sardar Sarovar dam in Gujarat to 436' after which hydrological studies will be done for 5 years to decide whether the height should be raised to the awarded 455'.

Meaning

பற்றுகளைத்  துறந்துவிட்டால், பிறப்பில்  எற்படும் இன்ப துன்பங்கள் வருவதில்லை. இல்லையேல், அந்த இன்ப துன்பங்கள் மாறிமாறி வரக்கூடிய நிலையாமை தோன்றும்.

At the moment in which desire has been abandoned, (other) births will be cut off; when that has not been done, instability will be seen.

Others suffer delusive snare.

Meaning

அறைகுறையாக இல்லாமல் அனைத்தும் துறந்தவர்களே உயர்ந்த நிலையை அடைவார்கள். அவ்வாறு துறவாதவர்கள் அறியாமையென்னும் வலையில் சிக்கியவர்களாவார்கள்.

Those who have entirely renounced (all things and all desire) have obtained (absorption into God); all others wander in confusion, entangled in the net of (many) births.
