இந்தியா கொடி நாள்: ராணுவத்தினர் நலன் காப்பது குறித்து முடிவு செய்ய ராணுவ அமைச்சகத்தின் சார்பில் 1949 ம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் 28 ம் தேதி ஒரு கமிட்டி அமைக்கப்பட்டது .இந்த கமிட்டி பல மட்டங்களில் ஆலோசனையில் ஈடுபட்டது . அண்டை நாட்டுடன் போரில் ஈடுபடும் ராணுவத்தினருக்கு காயம் ஏற்பட்டால் அவர்களுக்கு உதவுதல் , போரில் உயிரிழந்தால் அவர்களின் குடும்பத்திற்கு உதவுதல் , ஓய்வு பெற்ற முன்னாள் ராணுவத்தினருக்கு உதவுதல் ஆகிய 3 நோக்கங்களை கொண்டு கொடி நாள் ஏற்படுத்தலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டது . அதன்படி 1949 ம் ஆண்டு டிசம்பர் 7 முதல் கொடி நாள் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது. நிதி வசூலில் அரசு மற்றும் தொண்டு நிறுவனங்கள் ஆகியவை ஈடுபடுகின்றன. ராணுவத்தின் ஒரு அங்கமான கேந்தர்ய சைனிக் போர்டு என்ற அமைப்பின் மூலம் இந்த நிதி வசூல் பராமரிக்கப்படுகிறது .

Awareness Program on need of donating organs.

Subject: Socio Cultural Program on "Donate Organ Awareness" – 23rd to
26th Jan 2010, Noida

Dear Sir,

I would like to take two minutes of yours to discuss about a most
important development area in our country where you can be a part of.
Your willingness to support this cause will help you extend your life
for at least to nine generations.

Dr Anant Kumar, senior consultant in urology and kidney
transplantation at New Delhi's Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and an
expert in the area of organ donation, estimates that anywhere between
two and three million Indians may have died in the last five years
because they could not get an organ transplant.

Dr Sunil Shroff of Chennai, managing trustee of the Multi Organ
Harvesting Aid Network foundation, an NGO that promotes organ
donation, says: "Healthy people are unaware of the sufferings of
patients with organ failure."

While in the US the organ donation rate is 25 to million people, in
India it is 0.05 to million people (although India has among the
world's highest number of deaths from road accidents).

In order to create the awareness of "Organ Donation" and to clear
various misconceptions and myths that surround organ donation, Avvai
Tamil Sangam & Charitable Society, Noida & Multi Organ Harvesting Aid
Network foundation, Chennai joined together and planned for a mass
awareness program in Noida from Jan 23-26, 2010 in The Great India
Place Mall, Noida where the expected foot fall is around 1.5 lakh per
day on these days. There will be cultural programs from 12 -7 PM
centered around this theme.

There will be Help Desks to clear the doubts and provide clarification
on organ donation as well as registration of Donors. Those register
for donating organs will be provided with "Donor Cards that can be
carried in wallets to makes it easier for you to be a donor if--God
forbid--something should happen to you"

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to this "India
Cultural Festival with a Social theme DONATE ORGAN" and be a donor and
be proud to say " LIFE- PASS IT ON"

பி. ஆர். அம்பேத்கார் பாபாசாகேப் டாக்டர் அம்பேதகர் மகாராஷ்டிர மாநிலம் ரத்னகிரி மாவட்டத்தில் அம்பாவாதே என்னும் கிராமத்தில் 1891 ஏப்ரல் 14 அன்று ராம்ஜி - பீமாபாய் ஆகியோரின் 14-வது குழந்தையாகப் பிறந்தார். மகர் என்னும் தாழ்த்தப்பட்ட சமுதாயத்தில் பிறந்த அவர், இளம் வயதில் பல்வேறு துன்ப, துயரங்களை அனுபவித்தார். டாக்டர் அம்பேத்கர் மிகச் சிறந்த கல்வியாளர். பரோடா மன்னரின் உதவியுடன் கொலம்பியா பல்கலைக் கழகத்தில் உயர்கல்வி பயின்றார். அங்கு அவர் 1915-ல் "பண்டைய இந்தியாவின் வர்த்தகம்' என்ற ஆய்வுக்கு முதுகலைப் பட்டம் பெற்றார். பின்னர், "இந்திய லாபப்பங்கு ஒரு வரலாற்றுப் பகுப்பாய்வு' என்ற ஆய்வுக்கு கொலம்பியா பல்கலைக் கழகம் அவருக்கு டாக்டர் பட்டம் வழங்கியது.
