நிகழ்வுகள் 1358 - துப்ரோவ்னிக் குடியரசு அமைக்கப்பட்டது. 1709 - ரஷ்யாவின் முதலாம் பியோத்தர் பொல்டாவா என்ற இடத்தில் சுவீடனின் பன்னிரண்டாம் சார்ல்சின் படைகளை வென்றான். 1801 - கெய்ரோ நகரம் பிரித்தானியப் படையினரிடம் வீழ்ந்தது. 1806 - புவனஸ் அயரசை பிரித்தானியர் கைப்பற்றினர். 1896 - ஜப்பான், சன்ரிக்கு என்னுமிடத்தில் நிலநடுக்கம் மற்றும் ஆழிப்பேரலை காரணமாக 27,000 பேர் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். 1950 - கொரியப் போரில் பங்கு பற்றவென ஐக்கிய அமெரிக்கா தனது படைகளை அனுப்ப முடிவு செய்தது. 1954 - இலங்கை முற்போக்கு எழுத்தாளர் சங்கம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. 1954 - உலகின் முதலாவது அணுக்கரு ஆற்றல் உற்பத்தி மையம் மொஸ்கோவுக்கு அருகில் ஓப்னின்ஸ்க் என்னும் இடத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. 1957 - லூசியானா, மற்றும் டெக்சாசில் நிகழ்ந்த சூறாவளியில் 500 பேருக்கு மேல் கொல்லப்பட்டனர். 1967 - உலகின் முதலாவது ஏடிஎம் (ATM) லண்டன் என்ஃபீல்டில் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. 1974 - அமெரிக்க அதிபர் ரிச்சார்ட் நிக்சன் சோவியத் ஒன்றியத்துக்கு பயணம் மேற்கொண்டார். 1977 - சிபூட்டி பிரான்சிடம் இருந்து விடுதலை பெற்றது. 1979 - முகமது அலி குத்துச்சண்டையில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெறுவதாக அறிவித்தார். 1991 - சுலோவீனியா தனது விடுதலையை அறிவித்த இரண்டாம் நாளில் யுகோஸ்லாவியா அதன் மீது படையெடுத்தது. 1998 - கோலாலம்பூர் சர்வதேச விமான நிலையம் திறக்கப்பட்டது. 2007 - டோனி பிளேர் பிரதமர் பதவியைத் துறந்ததைத் தொடர்ந்து கோர்டன் பிறௌன் ஐக்கிய இராச்சியத்தின் பிரதமரானார். பிறப்புகள் 1922 - அகிலன், தமிழில் ஞானபீட விருது பெற்ற முதல் எழுத்தாளர்
