வேண்டாமை என்னுஞ் செருக்கு.

Meaning :
விளைவுகளைப் பற்றி நினைக்காமல் பிறர் பொருளைக் கவர்ந்துகொள்ள விரும்பினால் அழிவும், அத்தகைய விருப்பம் கொள்ளாதிருந்தால் வாழ்க்கையில் வெற்றியும் கிட்டும்.
To covet (the wealth of another) regardless of consequences will bring destruction. That greatness (of mind) which covets not will give victory.
